The Panchaknya Dragon fruit project was started in November 2020. The project has acquired over 5 Acres of land in the Kalchhe village in Panchakanya rural municipality. There are over 7,000 dragon fruit plants in the project, where there is a mixture of red-fleshed dragon fruits and white-fleshed dragon fruit plants. It is one of the first Dragon fruit farms in Nepal in such a large scale.
To encourage biodynamic farming, numerous plants like Avocado, Asparagus, and more are grown in between the dragon fruit plants. All the fertilizers used in the plants are organic. The fertilizers are made in the project site itself using compost materials collected from animals and plants in the area.
